Unlock Codes For A Samsung Intercept: Top Tips

The Samsung Intercept, also known as the SPH-M910, is an Android-based smartphone from Samsung that was released in 2010. It contains a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard.

In order to be able to use your Intercept on any GSM network, rather than being forced to use the network of the company that sold you the phone, you will need to unlock the SIM lock the phone is shipped with. This is not a big deal. Not only is it easy to do, it’s fully legal, and will not affect your warranty. In fact, it will even raise the resale price of your phone!

The trick is that you need the specific Samsung unlocking codes that match the codes Samsung used to lock your phone in the first place. Using the wrong codes is very dangerous, and could cause your phone to become permanently locked. Fortunately, the codes you need for unlocking a Samsung cell phone are widely available.

You may be able to unlock the Samsung phone for free, if you are on good terms with your carrier. They only care about keeping you locked to their network while they’re trying to recover the cost of the phone. If you’re under contract with them, or have owned the phone for a while, they may be willing to give you the Samsung unlocking codes so you can use your phone while travelling in a foreign country outside their service area. To find out if they will help you unlock the Samsung phone for free, you can either go into their local storefront, or contact their customer support by phone or email. You will need to provide them with the IMEI number of your phone so they can look it up in their database.

Your other alternative for unlocking a Samsung cell phone is to contact one of the online vendors of unlock codes. These vendors access the exact same database that your carrier does, they just charge you for the unlock codes they find.

You’re also going to have to get a new SIM card that is not associated with your current service provider. SIM cards are available from any cell phone store.

Once you receive the new SIM card and unlock code, you don’t need anything else to be able to unlock your Intercept. Simply follow these steps.

1. Power off your phone.

2. Remove your existing SIM card, and replace it with the new SIM card.

3. Power on your phone.

4. The phone will ask you for either your SIM network unlock PIN or SIM Network Control Key.

5. Simply enter the unlock code you were given.

Simple, isn’t it? Now your Intercept can be used with the GSM carrier of your choice, anywhere in the world.
