Unlock Codes For Sony Ericsson Vivaz 2

The Vivaz 2 was the original working name for a media-heavy smartphone from Sony Ericsson when it was first announced in 2011.

By the time the phone was released, however, the name had been changed to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo. It runs on the Android operating system and has the ability to film high-definition videos, as well as playback HD media on the phone or on your high-definition television via a built-in HDMI connection.

One thing that didn’t change, though, is releasing the phone with a SIM lock. It makes sense.

The cell phone carriers get customers by offering great deals on new phones, and the only way they can afford to do that is by making sure those customers have to use their phone service.

As a result, Sony Ericsson manufactures the phones unlocked, then uses a unique code to lock the phone depending on which cell phone provider will be selling it.

Unlocking your phone just does the same thing in reverse.

To get their specific unlock code mobile phone owners need their IMEI number which identifies unique phones. You can often get this code from your current cell phone service provider.

They may require that you have a currently paid-up account and that you have been their customer with the MT15i phone for long enough that they recouped the full purchase price – the details of that will be in the terms and conditions of your service contract.

Depending on your service provider, unlocking your phone may be as simple as walking into their store and asking them to do it for you.

Other providers may want you to visit a website where you can enter all the details of your phone, and they send out batches of emails with unlock codes for unique phones every few days.

Still, other providers may want you to call a customer service phone number, and get your code that way.

To get their unique unlock code a mobile phone owner can also purchase it from an online vendor of unlocking codes.

These vendors have access to the same database matching IMEI numbers with specific unlocking codes as the cell phone service providers do.

The only difference is that the cell phone service providers will offer the code for free if you meet their criteria, while the vendors will charge you for the code.

Once you receive the unlock code, simply follow these steps.

1. Power off your phone.

2. Remove your existing SIM card and replace it with a SIM card not associated with your carrier.

3. Power on your phone.

4. The phone will ask for the SIM network unlock code.

5. Simply enter the unlock code you were given.

Your Xperia Neo can now get cell phone service from any GSM carrier!
