The HTC Vision smartphone, otherwise known as the HTC Desire Z runs on the Android operating system and has many similarities to the original HTC Desire.

As great as the phone sounds, it lacks in one area, and that is that it cannot be used on any given network.

However, not to worry, as it’s simple and quick to fix, all you need to do is gain the unique unlock code for your HTC handset, and a new SIM card not provided by network the phone is locked to.

How do you get the unlock code? Simple. Ask your provider.
They may be the ones who put the lock on there to stop you from leaving, but this makes them the first stop when it comes to removing it.
If you have been a long-term loyal customer of the network, chances are they will unlock the phone for you in-store, or at the very least provide you with the unlock code at no cost.
However, this isn’t always the case, so if your network is being less than helpful, don’t worry as there are plenty of other sources for unlock codes out there.
Because there are so many, it can be hard to know which ones are the best to use, so to make sure you choose a reputable one, research the company to make sure other people have used them and can vouch for them.
Once you have your code and new SIM card, you are nearly there! Simply insert the SIM into your phone and switch it on.
It should ask you for something similar to ‘SIM unlock code’, at which point you should enter the code you were given by your source.
